- Hi my name is Tracy and along with my husband Neil, we own Piece a Cake, a Cafe and Cake Specialist store in Whangarei. I am a trained pastry chef having competed 2 years fulltime study at AUT in Auckland, coming top of my class both years! We opened the cafe in Oct 2008. My passion is good food (and wine) but I particularly love baking and decorating cakes. Ask those around me, I show my love through food! I love creating cakes for people and seeing their reaction when they come to pick it up. WOW!! is usually what they say, it gives me a great sense of satisfaction. This gorgeous cake was sitting in a painted birdbath surrounded by water with amazing floating glass bubbles in it. it looked fantastic and the bride loved it!
